Project Overview
What the light chooses to reveal.
The portrait was built with a dark room and a single hard source. Light travels along Valentina's profile, finding the planes of her face before falling sharply away.
Its severity is the point. Every adjustment of her chin changes the balance between presence and disappearance. With no set or color to soften the encounter, the frame holds only her face and a narrow line of light.
