Project Overview
More than half a country, seen in fragments.
The Peruvian Amazon covers more than half of the country's territory, yet from inside the forest its scale is rarely available as a single view. Vegetation interrupts distance; humidity softens edges; water and weather change the ground beneath the camera.
The sequence moves through vertical layers rather than along a horizon. Grass conceals an animal. Mist separates a peak from the forest below. Storm light gathers above the canopy while water continues through moss and stone.
This is neither an inventory of species nor a claim to untouched nature. The photographs are shaped by obstruction and brief openings. The forest offers a partial view, then closes it again.
